Press ReleaseOctober 10, 2006 - New York, NY Interep President and COO George Pine to Leave CompanyInterep (IREP.PK) today announced that George Pine will leave his position as President and Chief Operating Officer of Interep, effective immediately. Pine has taken a Voluntary Separation Agreement, which was offered in August to Interep employees over the age of 50 years old. Ralph Guild, Chairman/CEO of Interep, said, "George has been an asset to our company for over 30 years. He led our company at a time of tremendous change within our medium and should be commended for resilience in the face of challenge. George is truly one of the top executives in our industry. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and are grateful to him for his leadership, dedication and service through the years." Pine said, "My decision to leave Interep after 33 years was very difficult. I have lived every day at Interep full of passion for the company, our clients, our customers and my co-workers. But I am truly looking forward to taking this next step in my life." He added, "There are too many people to name who I want to thank for making my years at Interep so meaningful. I believe there are many opportunities ahead for both Interep and for our industry. I look forward to participating in radio's next phase of growth." A successor to Pine has not yet been named. Ralph Guild will temporarily oversee Pine's responsibilities. The company has hired an executive search firm, and expects to announce its plans to fill the position, internally or externally, by the end of the year.
