Announces David Kennedy as New CEO/Vice Chairman

On the first day of this year's RAB Sales and Marketing Conference in Dallas, February 8th, Interep (IREP.PK) announced the major news that David Kennedy, formerly CEO of Susquehanna Media, had been named the company's new CEO. On the heels of this news, Interep was active throughout the conference, sponsoring and participating in a variety of panels and receptions.

During an opening evening reception, Interep's Sherman Kizart, SVP/Director of Urban Marketing, was an honoree at the Urban Knights reception for his work on behalf of Urban Radio.

The following day, Interep sponsored the RAB Keynote Breakfast. Ralph Guild, Interep's non-executive Chairman and former CEO, introduced the session, taking a moment to recognize Dave Kennedy's appointment. The keynote speaker for the breakfast was futurist Daniel Burrus. His speech entitled, “Future View: Creating and Maintaining Competitive Advantage,” was a riveting depiction of trends that will impact our industry, including the evolution of audio technology. Preceding his talk, the new president and CEO of the RAB, Jeff Haley, delivered a presentation “A New Case for Radio” which was a refreshing, positive look at the next stage of radio's growth – it is available for viewing on the RAB website (www.rab.com).
